Below are your most frequently asked questions which we have answered. Please check here before you get in contact with us, as you may find we have already answered your question.

The Magazine

  • How much will each issue cost?

    Issue 1 comes at the special price of A$2.99 inc. GST. Issue 2 comes at a special price of A$4.99 inc. GST. Issue 3 onwards is priced at A$7.99 inc. GST. Total cost of the collection is A$711.1 inc. GST.

  • How often will the magazines be published?

    Magazines will be available weekly on a Thursday. The first issue will be in shops from 13th July 2015 and second issue on 30th July 2015.

  • Where can I purchase more yarn?

    The yarn is sourced by THE ART OF KNITTING just for the throw and is not available for sale elsewhere. We also created the colour palette when designing the throw and so it is not identical to anything on the market. Every issue comes with more yarn than is needed for each square so you should build up quite a stock over the course of the collection.

  • Please could you tell me what the yarn is that you are supplying for the throw (fibres and weight)?

    The yarn is 100% acrylic and is equivalent to double knit in weight.

  • What should I do with all of my leftover throw yarn?

    Definitely DON'T throw it away - you'll need the left over yarn for some of the squares later in the series.

About the Collection

  • How many issues will it take to complete my throw?

    You will receive the yarn and instructions to complete your throw in 90 issues.

  • How many squares will I make?

    The throw is made up of 90 squares.

  • How can I get back copies?

Your Subscription

  • What gifts will I receive when I subscribe?

    Subscribers starting with issue 1, your first delivery will be your issue 1 packaged by itself. You will receive your FREE issue, FREE Set of bamboo knitting needles and FREE Knitted hat kit with your second delivery.
    You will receive your FREE Knitting needle wrap with your fourth delivery. If you subscribed online you will also receive your FREE Knitting accessory kit.
    You will receive your FREE Knitting bag with your fifth delivery.

    Subscribers starting with issues 2, 3, or 4, you will receive your FREE issue, FREE Set of bamboo knitting needles and FREE Knitted hat kit with your first delivery.
    You will receive your FREE Knitting needle wrap with your third delivery. If you subscribed online you will also receive your FREE Knitting accessory kit.
    You will receive your FREE Knitting bag with your fourth delivery.

    Please note, some gifts may be dispatched separately from the issues.

  • How long will it take for my delivery to arrive?

    Please allow up 21 days from your order confirmation for your issues to be delivered. The issues are dispatched in batches to allow us to keep postage and packaging free for our subscribers. As subscription is on a monthly basis, we try to limit each customer to one dispatch a month so you’re not charged twice within one calendar month. We are working hard to ensure that you all get your copies as soon as possible from your order confirmation

  • When will payments for my subscription be taken?

    Payments are only taken once your order has been dispatched. Payments are taken every 4 weeks, and the date will depend upon when you take out your subscription.

  • How often will I receive binders to store my magazines?

    Binders will be sent to subscribers regularly. Your first binder and dividers set will be sent for free, and then with issues 20, 40, 60 and 80 at a cost of $10.99 per binder. Each binder complements the colour scheme of the Art of Knitting and is the perfect way to keep your collection together in easily manageable files.

  • I cannot access some of the website pages. What can I do?

    It may be a temporary problem, so please click Refresh to reload the page. If you are experiencing problems getting through to the secure order area when trying to place a subscription, please email us on the customer service website enquiry email address.

  • How do I cancel my subscription?

    You can cancel at any time giving 28 days’ notice - please contact our Customer Service Team via telephone on (03) 9872 4000 (between 8.30 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday) or email them at bissett@bissettmags.com.au. Alternatively you can write to the following address:

    If you contact the team by writing, please include your name and subscription reference.

  • How do I return something?

    If you are not satisfied with your first dispatch, you have the right to return it within 14 (fourteen) days from the day you received it. To exercise this right, simply inform us of your decision by email, telephone, or letter. You may send us back the dispatch, at your own cost, without giving any reason and without any penalty. Of course, you will not have to pay for this dispatch. As soon as we have registered the return of the dispatch, your debt will be cancelled. The dispatch must be returned, sealed, with the invoice, where applicable, to the following address:

    Please include your subscription number with your parcel. A parcel kept more than 14 calendar days means acceptance and the invoice should be paid promptly.

  • What should I do if I received the wrong issue(s)?

    We will replace all of your issues with the correct copies. In order for us to arrange for a replacement, please send back the wrong issue(s) and contact our Customer Care Team via the Customer Care hotline or email. If you email the team, please include your name and subscription reference in the subject line.

  • What should I do if I receive a damaged issue?

    We will replace any damaged issue free of charge. Just send back your damaged issue and contact our Customer Care Team.The return address is:

  • I have not received all my issues, how can you help?

    Our Customer Care Team can resolve this for you either over the phone or by email. If you email the team, please include your name and subscription reference in the subject line.

  • Can I get the free subscription gifts without subscribing?

    No, sorry, but if you’d like to subscribe you can do so via our 'subscribe' page. Please note that gifts are part of a special offer only available to people who start their subscription with issues 1, 2, 3 or 4.

  • Have you received my subscription request - I have not had confirmation?

    If you have subscribed online, you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of placing your order. If you do not receive this email, please contact our Customer Service Team by one of the methods below since there may have been a problem receiving your order, or an error with the email address used on your order form. If you subscribe via post or phone, you will receive a confirmation welcome letter within your first despatch. This contains your order reference number and details of your subscription. If you would you like to change anything to your subscription or contact details, please contact us via phone, letter or email. If you email the team, please include your subscriber number in the subject line.

  • What should I do if I receive an invoice for an issue I have already paid for or returned?

    If you have paid for your issues or returned them within the last 7 days, please ignore the new invoice. If you have any other problems, please contact our Customer Care Team. Paying promptly will guarantee that you receive your issues promptly and that you don't receive reminders.

  • What are the Payment methods?

    Direct Debit, Visa and Mastercard credit and debit card or via invoice.
